Texas King (Band)

Texas King is a Rock Band based out of London, Ontario. The band started as a solo project by front man Jordan MacDonald, he added original band member, lead guitarist, Colin Gray doing acoustic sets under the name. In talks during classes at MIA Fanshawe they added bassist Phil Spina and Drummer Rob Crellin and on September 15th 2012 the band played their first show as four-piece Texas King[1]
On February 7th 2023 Texas King announced they had signed with Known Accomplice Record Company, and on February 17th 2023 they released their first single through Known Accomplice "Whatever You Break", This single would go on to be the band's highest charting single currently sitting at #4 on Canada Active Rock Charts, iHeartRadio. On April 25th, 2023 while out on their Whatever You Break Cross-Canada Tour the band announced they will be releasing an EP title "Capsize" on July 7th 2023. On April 28th Texas King released Home, a single off their forthcoming EP Capsize.

Band Name[edit]
Though all members are Canadian the band is named Texas King inspired by the front man's birth name 'Austin James' it was a play on: Austin, Texas King James. If you remove 'Austin James' you are left with, the now legendary, "Texas King" [2]

The Band's Debut Self Titled EP charted #1 on CHRW charts, August 27th 2013, it reached #29 on the CFBX B.C. Charts
Tours & Festivals[edit]
In April 2023 the band set out on a cross Canada tour promoting their latest single Whatever You Break , which is presently #4 on the Canada Active Rock Charts.
The Whatever You Break Tour started April 13th at Biltmore Theatre in Oshawa and Concluded on May 13th at Warehouse Concert Hall in St. Catherines.
