Texas Red outlaw
Fact Texas Red was an outlaw used in Marty Robbins' song and also a western outlaw.
Career During his life, he was accused of killing four people and robbing a bank. He fled to Agua Fria for safety where he fought off 15 policemen and 5 armed citizens attempting to kill him. Eventually, an Arizona Ranger by the name of Harry Derringer shot him when he agreed to go to court and left his house unarmed to meet Derringer.
Death Red was shot once in the chest, killing him instantly.
Use In Media Texas Red was used in Marty Robbins' hit song Big Iron as a murderer/outlaw.
