Texas Transportation Code

The Texas Transportation Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate airplanes and airports, ships and ports, trains and railroads, and automobiles and roadways. It also establishes the Texas Department of Transportation and the Department of Motor Vehicles.[1] The code was enacted in 1995 by Texas SB 971, 74th R.S. as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.[2]
