Thamesians Rugby Football Club (commonly known as Thamesians RFC or simply T’s) is a rugby union club based in Twickenham, London, England. The club fields multiple senior men’s teams, and a women’s side.
History
Thamesians RFC was founded in 1962, making it one of the youngest rugby clubs in Twickenham. The name "Thamesians" reflects both the club’s proximity to the River Thames and its ties to the local community.
The club was established by a group of rugby enthusiasts seeking to create an inclusive and social rugby environment. Unlike many of its neighbours in Twickenham, Thamesians was not attached to a school, university, or old boys’ network, and instead developed as a fully open club.
