The head of the institute is Ron Prosor, former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations and the United Kingdom, and former director-general of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The goals for the institute are:[edit]

    2. To shed light on the the institutional anti-Israel agenda in many international organizations and to uncover the forces that are navigating the policy-makers in those organizations.
    3. To create a supportive pro-Israel environment with American policy-makers, international democratic allies and with American public opinion to fight against the BDS movement and anti-Israel discrimination at the UN

The Institute works through three main channels: the Diplomatic Counter-Terrorism Desk, the Diplomacy 2030 Desk, and the Academic Desk.

  1. The Diplomatic Counter-Terrorism Desk: Operates against international anti-Israeli trends.
  2. The Diplomacy 2030 Desk: Develops tools and offer guidance to Israel’s Foreign Service.
  3. The Academic Desk: Harnessing the tools of the IDC in Herzliya, to help achieve the goals of the institute.

  1. The UNaccountable Project: The UNaccountable action plan is designed to provide the United States Congress with facts, figures and up-to-date data about the United Nations (UN) for the purpose of reviewing – and reforming – its budget and activities. The goal of the action plan is to challenge the existing paradigm and uproot the institutional bias and the cynical use of US funding that is prevalent today and will renders the United Nations UNaccountable.[1][2].
  2. The UNIFIL Project: In May 2017, the institute launched a campaign to highlight the threat posed to Israel by UNIFIL’s weakness and inability to stop Hezbollah from arming itself. Three months after the campaign launched the UN changed UNIFIL’s mandate[3].
  3. The UNESCO Project: This ongoing campaign seeks to rebut UNESCO’s decision that the State of Israel has no sovereignty over its capital, Jerusalem. Efforts to date have included extensive media activity, and decision-maker outreach[4]
  4. The UNRWA Project: The UNRWA initiative is the product of an international action-oriented research, that built the case and mapped the tools required in order to merge UNRWA, the agency created especially for Palestinian refugees, into UNHCR, the UN refugee agency.
  5. Launch of The First Diplomatic Accelerator: The first diplomatic accelerator is designed to empower civil society initiatives in the field of diplomacy – from public diplomacy to internationalization of higher education through "tech-for-good" efforts – and allow them to create a real impact on Israel's foreign relations.
  6. Academic conferences: The recent conference- Golda Meir- Israel's First Lady of Diplomacy To mark 120 years to the birth of Israel's first female Prime Minister, Golda Meir, the institute hosted a conference that celebrated her life and work. The conference held several sessions that focused on Israel's relations with Africa, which Meir launched, The role of women in leadership positions, The Yom Kipur War and Amb.
