History[edit]
The Accra Times was originally established in 2020 in Accra, Ghana to bridge the gap between traditional media and news and stories reportage by ushering in a new digital age of storytelling. Their goal is to ensure that they provide detailed long form reports on underreported stories while making sure diversity, inclusion and development are achieved. They do this through a user friendly and international standard website, digital newspapers and social media platforms. They primarily seek to serve a diverse range of people from across the globe who are interested in inspiring stories.[2] [3][4]
Pitches[edit]
The Accra Times continually offer the chance to the public to submit engaging and informative articles that offer a fresh perspective on issues in the underrepresented areas that do not receive enough attention in the mainstream media. Their goal is to provide a platform for young writers to share their stories, ideas and opinions, and to encourage critical thinking and activism.[5]
