The Artist (Russian: Художник, Khudozhnik) is a 2022 Russian Historical mystery TV series written by Aleksandr Oleinikov, Evgeni Kerov, and Savva Minayeva and directed by Timur Alpatov.
Plot[edit]
The show is set in Moscow, in the Spring of 1944, and the fall of Nazi Germany already appears inevitable. In this context, a series of bloody and audacious robberies take place, led by local criminal elements. The authorities are unable to catch the burglars' leader, and the group's composition changes constantly. Portraits of the robbery victims are always discovered at the crime scenes, and the criminal band thus acquires the name "Dead Head": its leader is termed the Artist.
The crimes are investigated by Moscow's best investigators, Mayor Efimov and his deputy Capitan Sazonov who work at the Moscow Criminal Investigations Department.[1]
