The Astana Times

The Astana Times (also known as The AT) is an English-language news website[1] based in Kazakhstan. It publishes daily online news on the political, economic, and cultural life in the country and wider Central Asia.[2]
It is published by the regional non-profit organization "Guild of Independent Journalists". The Astana Times is registered with the Ministry of Communications and Information of Kazakhstan.
The first issue of the newspaper was published in December 2010 ahead of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) summit in Astana.[3]
Style and format
In addition to news and opinion articles about Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the news site also conducts interviews with regional experts[4], ambassadors and diplomats[5] based in Kazakhstan.
International cooperation
In March 2023, South Korean daily English-language newspaper The Korea Times signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Astana Times to promote cooperation between the two news outlets[6].
