The Big Store

The Big Store is the oldest building currently standing in Tensed, Idaho along highway 95. No one knows how old the building actually is but it was moved to its current location in 1908 where it stands today. The building even has its old boiler and furnace in the basement.

The building used to be a grocery store when the town of Tensed, Idaho was a logging community up until the 1980's when logging started to die down in the area. To commemorate this building, the convenience store inside the building is still named The Big Store to this day. The building was featured in the 1998 movie Smoke Signals where you can see the main characters enter the building for a brief conversation.
