The Black Examiner (abbreviated as TBEN) is a Ugandan [1] independent English-language weekly newspaper published in print and online, founded in 2020. The Black Examiner is part of Abjine Media Group, owned by Busiinge Aggrey. It is one of the largest privately owned news media outlets in the country.

Location

The headquarters of the The Black Examiner and Abjine Media Group, as well as the printing press of the newspaper, are located in Bujumbura Division, Hoima City, Uganda's oil city.[2][3]

The newspaper headquarters are housed in the same building that houses the other investments owned by Abjine Media Group, including The Black Examiner newspaper, The Investigator Press, Netjaja Tech website (in English), Nyorowood TV (Luganda and English movie channel),[2] Kulayi Digital, The Black Examiner e-paper, The Examiner E-paper app, and The Black Examiner social media channels.

All subsidiaries listed above are owned by Abjine Media Group, a media conglomerate, based in Uganda, Kenya.
