The Booze of Monkey Island is a graphical adventure game released in 2024 and developped by the independent game development studio Bean Adventure Agency. It is an unofficial tribute to the Monkey Island-series.[1][2][3]
Story
LeChuck once again kidnapped Elaine Marley. Guybrush Threepwood is going to save her, but his ship is damaged near the coast of Dinky Island due to an incident with demonic piranha-poodles. On the island he has a chat with Ignatius Cheese, owner of a poorly performing bar. Ignatius will help Guybrush on condition last one brings in three customers.
He quickly finds potential customers, but they are unable to help. Cartographer Wally B. Feed is participating in a competition to create the best map. Kate Capsize is the sole judge and decides the winner. Since Kate cannot stand Wally and he is the only contestant, Guybrush must also participate and create a map. As long as the competition is not over, Kate and Wally refuse to go to the bar. Additionally, Kate does not want to go because Ignatius does not serve non-alcoholic grog. Pirate William the Swiss is convinced he has been cursed by the voodoo lady and must stay by the “tall tree” until it is dying: no leaves, withered branches, and afflicted by a tree disease. If he leaves the tree prematurely, his stomach will become filled with cockroaches. When Guybrush has taken care of the three customers, Ignatius still refuses to help him because the customers do not meet the conditions of the task as he had envisioned.
