The Cannigma, an online publication and podcast producer owned by The Cannigma Tree Ltd, focuses on providing fact-based education about cannabis and its uses, both recreationally and medicinally. One of the stated purposes of The Cannigma is to destigmatize the cannabis plant and provide information about the plant's benefits as well as the harms they believe that are caused by prohibitions on cannabis and its derivatives.[1]
The company is privately held and has headquarters in Herzliya, Israel.[2] It was founded in October 2019[3][4] and the company's current CEO and managing editor is Elana Goldberg.[5]
The Cannigma states that it utilizes a pool of writers and advisors to write and review articles before they are published, priding itself on using "an evidence-based approach to every issue surrounding cannabis".[6] As an example, The Cannigma partners with Americans for Safe Access to produce The Cannibus Enigma, a bimonthly podcast,[7] and with Green Entrepreneur.[8]
The Cannigma was featured on Adventures with Ted Danson on April 24, 2021.[9][10]
