Development

On May 31, 2025, the producer of Disney's The Cheetah Girls trilogy, Cheryl Hill, and Deborah Gregory, the author of the best-selling series of the same name, revealed that a fourth movie was in development at the 25th Annual African American Women in Cinema (AAWIC) Film Festival

In May 2026 it was announced that The Cheetah Girls will be receiving a rebooted sequel featuring a new four new main characters. According to Production Weekly, The new ‘Cheetah Girls’ reboot will reportedly begin filming this summer with Raven-Symoné returning as Executive producer and to be directed by Billie Woodruff. Filming is expected to take place in Cape Town, South Africa in Fall 2026.

In May 2026, alleged casting calls for the four lead characters were leaked, under the names Destiny, Dior, Brooklyn and Ruby.
