The China Journal is a journal of scholarship, information and analysis about China and Taiwan. It covers topics of anthropological, sociological, and political science. Two issues will be published per year by University of Chicago Press on behalf of The Australian National University College of Asia and the Pacific. Its current editors are Anita Chan and Jonathan Unger (Australian National University).[1]

The journal is abstracted and indexed in the Social Science Citation Index and is listed in the Journal Citation Reports with an impact factor of 2.250 ranked #4 out of 68 in the category "Area Studies" in 2017.
