The Cigar Guys Podcast is an American podcast about cigars hosted by Alex Gonzalez, Jared Burrows, Mark Nikollaj and Zachary Nikollaj. Its first episode was released on January 14, 2023.[1] New episodes are released weekly as audio and as video on YouTube.[2][3]
History
The first episode, "Meet The Cigar Guys", was posted to YouTube on January 14, 2023.[1] The cigar brand LaRocca Cigars links to an October 25, 2023, episode from the podcast page of its website.[4]
In November 2025, Empire Social Lounge, a cigar lounge in the Brickell area of Miami, published an article about an episode recorded at the lounge. In the episode, Gonzalez and Burrows interviewed two representatives of the lounge about how it is run, hospitality and cigar pairings.[5]
In April 2026, the show said it would cover the 2026 convention and trade show of the Premium Cigar Association in New Orleans, including interviews with exhibiting brands.[6] The association is a trade group for premium tobacco retailers and manufacturers.[7] By September 2026, Apple Podcasts listed 187 episodes.[3]
Format
Episodes usually run about an hour to an hour and a half.[3] Apple Podcasts lists the show in its Society & Culture category, marks it as explicit and describes it as updated weekly.[3] Topics include cigar reviews, industry news, lounge culture, accessories and retail.[2][3] Guests from the cigar industry appear on the show.[3] Past guests include Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigars[8] and Alex Weghorn, a brand ambassador for Davidoff.[9][10] Gonzalez, who edits the episodes, said in a 2025 interview that one episode is uploaded each week.[11]
Appearances
Gonzalez and Burrows appeared in the fourth episode of the first season of Behind the Blend, an interview series on the cigar video site CigarTV.[12] The Cigar Guys appeared on episode 181 of the Long Ash Podcast, released October 6, 2023.[13] Gonzalez was interviewed on A Cigar Hustler's Podcast in March 2025 about Besa Cigars, a boutique cigar brand he runs.[11]
Distribution
The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and video versions of the episodes are posted to YouTube.[2][14] The show's website, TheCigarGuys.com, carries a blog with reviews and event coverage.[2] The hosts have also published a book, The Cigar Guys' Ultimate Guide to Cigar Smoking.[2]
