The Collegian is Fresno State's independent student-run news outlet since 1922. Newspaper editions are published every Tuesday during the Fall and Spring Semester and are offered for free on the Fresno State campus. It is funded by a student fee and advertisements.
The Collegian is an award-winning publication[3] with notable journalism awards from the Associated Collegiate Press, California News Publishers Association, California College Media Association, and George F. Gruner Journalism Awards.[4]
