The Comphy Company
The Comphy Company is an American based privately owned and family run linen company that began in 2003 in Los Angeles, CA. After a 2007 relocation, the company is headquartered in Ferndale, WA. Comphy linens for spa and home are distributed through wholesale accounts and an online website worldwide.[1]
History[edit]
The Comphy Company began in the spa industry when founder Mia Richardson developed the first performance line of linens specifically designed for spa use[2]. The company originally sold linens at trade shows, beginning at the ISPA Conference & Expo in November 2003. Phone and email orders were the primary means of sales until they began online sales in 2013.
Spa Industry[edit]
The Comphy Company is the spa linen brand standard for Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, & Miraval spas, along with several other 5-star luxury spas and resorts, and smaller day spas[3]. With the creation of their home line, spas now retail the linens from their gift shops and online stores.
Home Line[edit]
Spa clientele began asking for the linens at home and thus the Comphy home line was started in 2009. A baby line then followed in 2013. After the bed linens were created, the hospitality industry started using Comphy sheets for luxury inns, bed & breakfasts, & hotels.
Popular Culture[edit]
In 2015, Animal Planet’s reality television show Treehouse Masters began featuring Comphy bed linens and towels in periodic episodes.
