The Creature Cases[1] is a preschool computer animated children's streaming television series created by Gabe Pulliam for Netflix. Produced by Silvergate Media,[2] the series premiered on April 12, 2022.[2]
Synopsis[edit]
The series follows partners Sam Snow and Kit Casey, the top pair of agents at CLADE (Covert League of Animal Detective Experts) as they go around the world solving the many cases of the natural world, learning facts about many animals in the process.
Format[edit]
The series usually begins with a scenario of animal citizens going through life as normal until something mysterious happens that threatens the natural order. At this point, the Mice Squad, Bill and Jill, would photograph and film the scene to send the case back to CLADE HQ. The next shot would focus on Sam and Kit off duty or just after a case, before they are briefed by Director Scratch and sent on their latest mission in R.O.N. Upon arrival, the duo set off the solve the mysteryy and set things right, usually on their own, but occasionally with help from Hans and Harold Stinkwell, CLADE's top inventors; the Mice Squad; Wally Bungler, a self-proclaimed "nature ranger"; and even Director Scratch herself. The episodes usually end with the case getting solved, before R.O.N. and the Mice Squad recap the episode's spotlighted animals with a "Fact File" segment.
Voice cast[edit]
- Nneka Okoye as Kit Casey, a female kit fox CLADE agent and Sam's partner. Kit is unorganized and energetic, though despite this she has some level of common sense, much more so than Sam. She is known to prefer warmer climates and unlike Sam enjoys getting wet. Kit's personal gadget is a special visor that perform similar functions to Sam's glove, and she is also the animal expert of the pair, knowing various key facts about the animals they encounter.
- Shash Hira as Sam Snow, a male snow leopard CLADE agent and Kit's partner. Sam, while just as eager as his partner, is more refrained, and is a germophobe and neat freak. He prefers colder climates and typical of most cats hates getting wet. Sam's personal gadget is a high-tech glove that performs similar functions to Kit's visor. Additionally, he is typically the one in charge of the Clu-bots, small spherical robots that can perform many different tasks. He is also the better detective of the duo, being able to piece together clues that Kit may miss.
- Teresa Gallagher as Peggy Scratch, a female chicken and the director of CLADE. Prim and Proper as the head of the organization, Scratch is not above the more juvenile antics her subordinates are known to indulge in, and has had numerous awards and acclaims within CLADE's history. In addition to being an expert bowler, Scratch primarily assigns the assignments to the agents of CLADE, but she is more than willing to step in herself should the need arise.
- Gallager also voices numerous minor characters throughout the series.
- Rob Rackstraw as:
- Wally Bungler, a male flying squirrel and a self-proclaimed "Nature Ranger" who occasionally helps Sam and Kit.
- Wally's mother, who mostly remains offscreen.
- Harold Stinkwell, a male skunk and one of CLADE's technical specilists. He is the brother and partner of Hans Stinkwell, both speaking with German accents.
- R.O.N., the artificially intelligent jet plane that transports Sam and Kit to their destinations.
- Rackstraw also voices numerous minor characters throughout the series.
- Darren Foreman as Bill, a male mouse and a specialist CLADE agent. He and Jill are part of the Mice Squad, CLADE's top reconnaissance team.
- Harriet Carmichael as Jill, a female mouse and a specialist CLADE agent. She and Bill are part of the Mice Squad, CLADE's top reconnaissance team.
- Alex Woodhall as Hans Stinkwell, a male skunk and one of CLADE's technical specilists. He is the brother and partner of Harold Stinkwell, both speaking with German accents.
- Jules de Jongh
- Marcel McCalla
- Kerry Shale
- Joseph Balderrama
