The Daily Standard (Ohio)
The Daily Standard is a daily newspaper that is located in the Celina, Ohio, area.[1] Its publisher is The Standard Printing Co.[2] which is family owned.
It is one of the oldest newspapers in Northwest Ohio,[3] having been founded in 1848[4] as the Western Standard.[3] After changing ownership several times, it was renamed Mercer County Standard and was briefly a twice-weekly publication, and otherwise weekly publication.[5] However, in December 1905, a Daily Standard began production.[5]
It focuses on regional events for Mercer and Auglaize County, Ohio.[4][2]
