The Damage Report (TDR) is a left-leaning progressive news commentary show on YouTube[1] and other streaming services. It is based in Los Angeles, California, USA and hosted by John Iadarola through The Young Turks media network.[2] Started on May 4, 2013 as a small spin-off from The Young Turks main show, The Damage Report increased steadily in popularity with TYT fans as well as new viewers. The show saw a dramatic rise in popularity during the presidency of Donald Trump. It reached a milestone of having more viewers than The Young Turks main show one day in 2020, due primarily to the show's casual vibe brought on by the stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dragon Squad
"Dragon Squad" began as an offhand comment by the host, John Iadarola, joking about the ridiculous names of white supremacist groups, such as the Proud Boys, and noting that he could probably easily create a cooler name for the opposition to them on the spot. Thus Dragon Squad was born, becoming a long-running joke turned mascot of the show. Over time, each of the hosts, and numerous viewers, took on various "Dragon Names" based on their personalities, relation to the show, or characteristics. Since becoming a popular symbol of the TDR community, Dragon Squad merchandise has risen to one of Shop TYT's best-selling product lines.[3]
Dragons are known for their generosity and passion for truth. Daddy Dragon is an honest reporter who believes in journalistic integrity.
