The Fish'n Canada Show, also known as Fish'n Canada, is a Canadian television series presented by Angelo Viola, Reno Viola, and Pete Bowman. The trio share with their experience about fishing and tips of fishing.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

The Fish'n Canada Show was first aired in 1986. In 1988 the program went coast to coast on CBC, the first North American weekly fishing show to broadcast on a national network.

In 1992 the show went into syndication adding Global Television Network, prominent CTV and affiliates and several cable networks. The move resulted in unprecedented fishing audiences. With the addition of WFN U.S. and The Sportsman Chanel Canada today the Fish’n Canada show dominates the air-waves with a national weekly reach of 3.5 million and ama of over 450,000 easily making it one of most watched “outdoors” program in North America.

This show achieved its largest average minute audience (745,000) during these years. Even as television has become more fragmented, The show maintains a strong average minute viewership (300,000) in its syndication format with Global Television.[4]

In 2012 the show held a contest to choose a new host.[5]
