The Flock
The Flock
The Flock is a Latin American technology talent platform founded in 2021.[1] It connects independent professionals from the region with companies worldwide through two main models: on-demand talent and managed software teams.[2]
History
The company was founded in 2021 by Ramiro González Forcada (CEO), Juan Cruz Montes (CTO), and Nicolás Castro (CPO).[3] It emerged during the digital transformation accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, when global demand for qualified professionals exceeded supply.[4]
In 2023, The Flock closed an angel investment round of US$180,000, which included Max Cavazzani, founder of Etermax, as one of the investors.[5] That same year, Forbes Argentina reported revenues above US$3 million, representing a 250% increase compared to 2022.[6]
Business Model
The Flock operates through two service models:[7]
- On-demand talent: professionals work under the direct management of the client company.[8]
- Managed software teams: multidisciplinary teams are assembled and managed by The Flock.[9]
The model is intended to provide flexibility, allowing organizations to scale teams up or down depending on project needs, while reducing recruitment times.[10]
Services
The platform applies a validation process that includes English proficiency tests, technical assessments, soft skills evaluations, and personality tests such as MBTI.[11] Its main areas of specialization are software development, design, product management, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.[12]
Global Presence
By 2025, The Flock reported a network of more than 15,000 validated professionals across Latin America, delivering projects in over ten countries.[13] The United States became its main growth market.[14]
Clients Industries
The company has worked with industries such as fintech, healthcare, energy, gaming, and marketing. Clients include YPF, Pepsico, Banco Industrial, Betwarrior, and Osana.[15]
