The Follies of Rupert Treacle is the first solo album by Roye Albrighton of the progressive rock band Nektar. It was recorded entirely at his home in Stafford, England as an experiment with a guitar-synth on Cubase MIDI software. It wasn't intended for official release and initially only available privately to close friends. Later, he decided to release it publicly.[1]
The album is different than Albrighton's typical Nektar work and instead features a laid back atmosphere with bluesy lead guitar on the synth-guitar he used with Snowball. Many of the tracks are instrumentals.[2]
