The Kingdom of Heyr, officially the The Grand Heyrian Authority, or simply known as Heyr, is a Essex micronation landlocked within w:Essex, Southern w:Upminster. It covers 53.56 (mainland) acres of land, between the towns of Upminster and Cranham. It is known for its laws againt being illegal to drive KIAS, being allowed for people of age 11 to drive motor vehicles, kids watching TV at the age of 15 and having to be 9 years of age to listen to the radio.
History
Heyr was founded on 8th September 2023 by a kid called Barry Mancktelow Varley who declared himself the Supreme leader. The inspiration came from hearing about micronations from my friend lutrumpcis in 2022. During mid 2023 Barry decided to ask his mum if he could use the back garden which she said yes as it was small only about 21 yards In late 2023,Barry realised that his nan and grandad owned farm lands in Upminster so 1 week later he asked them "Hey can i claim your field for my micronation" which the agreed to not thinking to much about it we later went on to takeover my dads friends land and other family land we later became a Empire called the Heyrian Federation but that barley lasted a month Official independence was declared on 8th September 2023 after my nationstates account was created, we used to be called the Republic of Heyr.

In 2026, Are bank note designer Jorja Worthington made are first not the Heyrian Dollar it was a simple design with are second in command David Varleys face printed on the right side of the note and the Socalism pact on the right with the currency numbers in he top left and bottom right corners.

Elections and votes
Leader name
When Heyr was still tiny only 11 people the leader decided to hold a vote to choose their official title. The options were Supreme Leader or Guru Everyone took part, and the whole population voted in favour of Guru. That made it official, and on 2 March 2026, Barry became the Guru of Heyr.

In response, the nation made the strategic decision to temporarily close citizenship, allowing time to stabilise, reorganise, and prepare for the next chapter. Historians would later look back on this moment as the Great Population Boom of 2026, a turning point when Heyr shifted from a small creative project into a thriving, fast‑growing nation almost overnight.
