Development[edit]
On July 14, 2005, New Line Cinema announced that they picked up the rights to make a film based on the Ex Machina comic book series.[1] On August 17, 2012, Tony Harris stated that he and Brian K. Vaughan had reacquired the rights to the film adaptation.[2] In January 17, 2020, Anna Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel will write the film adaptation under the title “The Great Machine” to avoid confusion with the film Ex Machina, with Oscar Isaac and his manager and producer Jason Spire producing the movie with Legendary Entertainment.[3] There have been no further developments since.
Casting[edit]
