The Gumazing Gum Girl!

The Gumazing Gum Girl! (sometimes referred to simply as Gum Girl!) is an American chapter book series that is created by Rhode Montijo for Disney/Hyperion. It is produced primarily by The Walt Disney Company. It came out in September 2013. The story follows a young girl named Gabby Gomez, who has an unfortunate fixation of chewing and blowing bubblegum at all times.

Characters

• Gabriella "Gabby" Gomez / Gum Girl is a young girl who loves to chew gum, but her parents and teachers warned her against it, but she accidentally transforms herself into the sticky, stretchy superhero, Gum Girl. She usually wears a pink dress, a pink bow, and black mary-janes. When she is a superhero, her entire body was made up of chewing gum which gives her extreme “stretchability.”
• Rico Gomez is Gabby's brother. He usually wears a shirt and the vest. He is the fan of Gum Girl and Ninja-Rina.
• Mrs. Gomez is Gabby's mom. She usually wears a pink shirt with a white collar, and a black skirt. She punishes Gabby from chewing gum.
• Dr. Gomez is Gabby's dad. He usually wears a white shirt and black pants. He was a dentist of the Gomez Dental.
• Ms. Smoot is Gabby's teacher, who hates tardiness.
• Mr. Hansen is Gabby's substitute teacher.
• Natalie Gooch is a large stereotypical boyish-looking girl, who bullies Gabby.
• Ravi Rodriguez is a young little boy, who becomes a news reporter.
• Ninja-Rina is a protagonist in the series. She is a masked ballerina with mad ninja skills. She knows jujitsu, basket-weaving, and ceramics. Ninja-Rina was originally going to be the antagonist in this series.
• Sol Azteca is a famous luchador who meets Gabby.
• Yee is a police officer chief who gives a key to Gum Girl and Ninja-Rina.
• Robo-Chef is a pastry chef who hates gum and serves as a primary antagonist in the series.

The Gumazing Gum Girl! v1: Chews Your Destiny (2013)

Gabby Gomez loves to chew gum everyday. She chews gum while climbing on a tree, she chews gum while swimming in the pool, she chews gum in the barbershop, she chews gum while playing jump rope, and she even chews gum while sleeping in the bed during nighttime. Next morning, Gabby woke up, but realizing that there was a wad of gum in her hair. Mrs. Gomez, Gabby's Mom, uses peanut butter as a treatment to get rid of gum. Gabby doesn't like peanut butter. After Mrs. Gomez puts peanut butter on Gabby's hair, making the gum disappear, Gabby was happy that there was no lecture either. Gabby says goodbye to her brother, Rico, but Mrs. Gomez punishes her from chewing gum. Gabby discovers the last piece of Mighty-Mega Ultra-Stretchy Super-Duper Extenda-Bubble gum that will "never hurt". She chews a gum, then blows a bubble that was too big that it touches the telephone wires, making her turn into the humanoid creature made out of gum. Gabby realizes that she was all covered in it, but sworn out that she was made out of gum. After giving a woman a purse (that was stolen by a thief), she now becomes Gum Girl. In the moment, Gum Girl sings a song, then thinking that peanut butter turning her back to normal was a good idea. Then, she hurries back home and puts a lot of peanut butter on herself, making her back to the normal Gabby. Later, Gabby rushes to school. Ms. Smoot, Gabby's teacher, tells her that she was tardy. Natalie Gooch, Gabby's bully, starts bulling Gabby, because Gabby was tardy. Back home, Gabby uses tricks to stop turning into Gum Girl, but did not work. Her head was completely covered in gum. Mrs. Gomez tells her not to chew gum, but Gabby finds a jar of peanut butter to turn her head back to normal. Mrs. Gomez checks Gabby that she eats peanut butter or not. The next day, Gabby was ready for school. Later, she turns into Gum Girl again. She saves the girl's kitten, who was stuck in the tree, she let the old woman walk on the body from getting ran over by traffic, she gives the man the keys, that were lost underground, and she stops the baby, who was riding on an unstoppable stroller. After a moment, Ms. Smoot sends Gabby and Natalie to detention. As the bell rings, Gabby leaves school and turns into Gum Girl a third time. Later, she sees a plane that lost its wing. After stopping a plane from crashing, the crowd cheer. Hooray for Gum Girl! After that, Gum Girl tells Ravi Rodriguez a story. Meanwhile, at the Spatula Factory, the man watches the news realizing there was Gum Girl. His plan was to destroy her.
