The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Brandon and Phillip Murphy. It is a sequel to 2017 film The Hitman's Bodyguard. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek.

In May 2018, it was announced that Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek were in early talks to reprise their roles for a sequel to 2017 film The Hitman's Bodyguard, titled The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, with plans to begin filming later in the year. While Lionsgate was in talks to take the United States rights, with Patrick Hughes also in talks to return for directing duties.[1] In November 2018, Lionsgate acquired the US rights from Millennium Films, while Reynolds, Jackson, and Hayek were also confirmed to star in the film. Matthew O'Toole and Les Weldon would produce the film through Millennium and Campbell Grobman Films, while Hughes would return to direct the film from the script by Brandon and Phillip Murphy.[2]
Filming will begin on March 2, 2019 in Europe.[2]
