The House of Hair with Dee Snider is a nationally syndicated radio program, airing weekly in the United States,[1] Mexico, Canada and Germany (Nürnberg).[2] Dee Snider, Twisted Sister frontman, serves as the show's host. The House of Hair features heavy metal, glam metal and hard rock, mostly from the 1980s and early 1990s, though occasionally from the 1960s and 1970s as well. The show first aired in 1997; as of 2019, it airs on over 200 FM radio stations [1]. The show has also spawned a daily Monday-Friday short-form program called The Daily House of Hair Cut, featuring interview clips and hard rock entertainment. The House of Hair is distributed by the United Stations Radio Networks.

Segments[edit]

  • The Third Dee-Gree - Three songs, which all have something in common, are played back-to-back. It is up to the listener to try to figure out what they have in common, before Dee reveals it after the ensuing commercial break.
  • Killer Clone - A cover version of an older song is played.
  • Greasy Roots of Metal - A song by a band that was instrumental in shaping the sound of heavy metal is played.
  • HOH Hair Pair - Two songs from the same band are played back-to-back.
  • Rare Hair - A not very well-known song is played.
  • Request of the Week - Dee's favorite request from throughout the past week is played.
