The Indomitables is a Nigerian TV animated series that premiered in 2015. It is one of the few animated African content in existence.
Background[edit]
In 2014, Indomie Nigeria launched a promo where children aged 15 and below were to collect 16 magnet stickers with superheroes in three different poses and one with them all together. Five children won the contest eventually. Among the promo items were comic books based on the superheroes. The winners were: Moyosore Bamisaiye a 10- year-old from Ikorodu, Lagos, Chidinma Ewuniye an 11 year old girl from Anambra, 10 year old Oluwaseyi Olukolu from Lagos Island, Sultan Akindele from Ayobo, Ogun State and 13- year-old Chioma Ekuka who resides at Agege, Lagos.
Following the success of the promo, work began on an animated series which ran on a budget which was given to be millions of dollars worth. The end result was about 150 minutes of film which was 12 episodes in whole. The winners of the promo were involved in the animation as voice casts.
Plot[edit]
