The Inn at Leeds
The Inn at Leeds, located in Leeds, NY, right outside of Catskill, NY, is considered to be a historic location for the citizens of eastern New York. They are notorious for their costume party during halloween and the upcoming weekends (note: they have a five dollar cover!). Many say that the cover is "outrageous", however the natives in Catskill will say it is worth every penny.
History:
The exact origins of the Inn at Leeds are unknown, it is said to be the oldest inn in eastern New York[1]. Many believe that it was founded by Abraham Lincoln's Vice President, Hannibal Hamlin[2]. He enjoyed consuming alcoholic beverages in a relaxed, yet "trendy" environment. The inn is currently owned by direct descendants of Hannibal Hamlin.
Controversy:
The Inn at Leeds has been at the center of some controversy with a university in south east Pennsylvania when a field geology class caused "extreme mayhem"[3] during an outing for a trip. Natives still say it was the "most lit" the bar has ever been, however the more traditional natives say it was a little "too lit".
