The International Christian Church Network (TICCN) is a global Christian organization formed in 2014, which connects churches and ministers from various denominations. The network is part of the Convergence Movement, emphasizing unity among evangelical, charismatic, and liturgical traditions.

History

TICCN was co-founded in 2014 by Archbishop Steven Lyn Evans from the United Kingdom and Archbishop Doyle Volentine from the United States. Both leaders had prior involvement in ecumenical and charismatic Christian circles. The Network emerged out of a desire to promote Christian unity, collaborative ministry, and shared resources across denominational lines.

The Network builds on the work of ministers associated with the Word of Faith movement, as well as independent charismatic leaders. It was formalized following various ministry partnerships and conferences in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Mission and Beliefs

TICCN’s stated mission is to foster cooperation among Christian ministers and churches, promote unity in the Body of Christ, and encourage service-based leadership within communities. It draws from the principles of the Convergence Movement, combining:

  • Evangelical emphasis on Scripture and mission
  • Charismatic openness to the Holy Spirit
  • Liturgical appreciation of ancient Christian practices

The network affirms the historic creeds of the Christian Church and encourages ministerial training and equipping.

Structure and Leadership

TICCN is overseen by a group of senior leaders, including archbishops, bishops, and pastors from multiple countries. Archbishop Steven Lyn Evans serves as the Archbishop Metropolitan of the Network, having been consecrated to this role in 2023 at a conference held in Texarkana, Texas.[1]

Activities

TICCN hosts international conferences, training events, and ordination services. It is also involved in:

  • Ministerial development and credentialing
  • Humanitarian aid and community outreach
  • Ecumenical dialogue and interdenominational events
  • Church planting and leadership training

In 2024, TICCN representatives, including Archbishop Evans, were invited to the Vatican to participate in a sports chaplaincy conference.[2]

Membership and Reach

As of 2024, TICCN reports over 3,000 affiliated churches with an estimated reach of 250,000 people across 30+ countries.[3] Its partner churches operate independently but align with the Network’s vision for cooperation and spiritual unity.

Humanitarian Work

TICCN supports ministries serving disadvantaged communities. In the United Kingdom, it partners with initiatives such as “Church on the Street” in Burnley, led by Pastor Mick Fleming, a TICCN bishop and author of the book Blown Away.[4]
