Lee, Marie and May, known as The Kanker Sisters, (often simply known as the Kankers) are a fictional animated trio of ladies who are infatuated with The Ed boys and are the female counterparts of them. The Kankers are also main antagonists towards the cul-de-sac and its inhabitants of the animated comedy television series Ed, Edd n Eddy on Cartoon Network. They have a reputation of being bullies and are feared throughout Peach Creek.
Characters
In the cartoon itself, however, their origin and how they came to Peach Creek has never been explained. In their first appearance, the Kankers say that they're new in town. Contradictorily, in "A Town Called Ed," it is revealed that at one point they owned the property on which Peach Creek was built, implying that their family has lived there for generations (or at least has significant roots there). Additionally, in "O-Ed Eleven," it was revealed that Eddy's Brother's treasure map led to their trailer, making their presence in the neighborhood even more of a mystery.
Lee
Lee Kanker (Janyse Jaud) is the most domineering and commanding of the sisters. She is the most ruthless of the three and the most short-tempered. She is frequently seen telling her sisters where to go and what to do, and for this is considered the leader (and the oldest as well, even though no ages have been given for the Kanker Sisters). She is known to be especially dangerous when thrown into a rage. Her crush is Eddy. Lee wears a white tank top with red polka dots on it, golden earrings, a pink belt along with blue jeans and purple shoes with white soles. She is considered the leader of the Kankers. She has poor teeth, as one of them is blue and the rest are yellow. She wears a nightgown that covers her upper body and thighs to bed. Lee, like her sister Marie, has an accent, but it is much stronger. She also has orange/ginger hair that covers her eyes most of the time.
Marie
Marie Kanker (Kathleen Barr) is considered the smartest of the Kankers. Unlike her sister Lee, she is more prone to thinking before she acts, although she is also short-tempered and actually flies into a rage more readily than her sisters. She is known to be somewhat good at art, which may hint at hidden depths. She has the shortest hair of all the Kankers, and her voice has a bit of a Midwestern accent. Her crush is Edd. Marie wears a black tank top that halts right above her bare midriff, a pink belt, green non-camouflaged BDU pants, a dark green wristband on her left arm and black shoes with grey soles. Her overall appearance allows one to believe she is a fan of rock music. She is often shown as crafty and sneaky, especially when compared with her sisters. Her teeth are poor as they're all yellow. Her nails are painted red and she also wears blue eyeshadow. She wears a sleeveless green shirt and polka-dotted boxer shorts to bed. Marie appears to have a slight rural Midwestern accent. She has short blue hair that covers her right eye; it is not known whether her hair is dyed this color or comes this way naturally (as is assumed with Rolf).
May
May Kanker (Erin Fitzgerald; Jenn Forgie) is the "dumb blonde" of the group. She is widely considered the youngest due to her dimwittedness. Although she is portrayed as the nicest of the three, she is also known to have a tremendous rage, as was evidenced by her tantrum in "Ed Overboard." Her crush is Ed. May has blonde/yellow hair and buck teeth, and is usually seen wearing a gray T-shirt, red shorts, yellow socks, and red shoes with gray soles. When she sleeps at night, she wears a pale blue one-piece footed sleeper. Like Ed, May is the most prone to get into clumsy accidents and/or scrapes.
