The Kelly Rowland Edition[1] is an extended play (EP) by Kelly Rowland. It was released on 19 May 2019. It is classified as an EP by media outlets,[2][3][4] and as a single by iTunes.[5]
Music
The EP features three songs, "Don't You Worry", "Diamonds" and "See Me". The former has a groovy, old-school hip hop-styled production in which it is a love letter to classic R&B.[6][7] The opening track, "Don't You Worry" features a sinuous and laid-back groove that float over synth chords and simple drums with heavy influences of soul and dance music.[8] D-Money of Soul Bounce praised Rowland's vocal performance by describing them as "honeyed vocals".[7]
Promotion
A 13-minute documentary was filmed with Red Bull Music Studios Sessions which was released to Red Bull Music's official YouTube channel on May 28, 2019, documenting Kelly's process recording the project. Red Bull also sponsored the project.[9]
