The Koffin Kats

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Koffin Kats are a psychobilly punk band formed near Detroit, Michigan in 2003. The founding members are Vic Victor (Lead Vocalist, Upright Bass), Damian Detriod (drums), and Vic's long-time friend, Tommy Koffin (Guitar).[1]

The band has 10 albums released along with various singles. The Koffin Kats have performed worldwide with top psychobilly bands such as: Mad Sin, Nekromantix, and The Meteors.[2] Their latest release, titled: Ya Can't Take It With Ya, was released in 2021. [3]

The original line-up released three albums: Koffin Kats (2003), Inhumane (2005), and Straying From The Pack (2006) before a change in the trio. The band's 4th album, Drunk In The Daylight (2008), was recorded with drummer Eric “E-Ball” Walls. Forever For Hire (2009) was released shortly before Tommy departed the band and “EZ” Ian Jarrell took over the guitarist position for the subsequent tour. The album From Our Hands To Yours was released in 2011 just prior to the band signing with Sailor’s Grave Records. [4] After signing, they released Our Way & The Highway in January 2012 and another full-length album, Born Of The Motor.

Ian Jarrell left the band in 2014 and John Kay was brought in for guitar until the founding lineup returned in 2016. Six years after his departure, Tommy Koffin returned to playing guitar with The Koffin Kats, alongside Vic Victor and E Ball Walls. In 2017, the original trio released, Party Time In The End Times.
