The Maffin Band

Bongo Maffin[1] is a kwaito music group,[2] originally formed by a Zimbabwe-born musician DJ Appleseed in 1996.[3] The band then consisted of four members namely Stoan Seate,[4] Jah Seed,[5] Speedy[6] and lead vocalist Thandiswa Mazwai.[7] Together, the Maffin group has won several awards yearly from as early as 1999 to 2006, ranging from Best African Pop album to Best African Duo and Group. Despite their 14-year break, the band defied all odds and reunited in 2018 with their new Afro-beat Pop album "From Bongo With Love",[8] thus not deviating from their original sound.[9]
