The Merchant Men
The Merchant Men are a Sea Shanty Band based around wikt:Somerset. As of 2019, the current incarnation of the band consists of Sam Stokes, Freddie Millard, Thom Hooper, Ethan Taylor and Bobby ‘McRobby’ Clark. Jess Chaffey of Chard and Ilminster News described the band as “infectious fun and easy on the ear”.<ref name="LoC">

On 8th October, 2020 they released their first and only album to date ‘A’right My Lubbers!’’.<ref name="LoC"> [2] <ref>
The band performed alongside Sam Evans and Jemima Farey on 13th September 2019 at The Ilminster Arts Centre as part of a “bespoke triple bill”.<ref name="LoC">
