The Mysterious Mr. Epstein is a 2019 true crime podcast produced by Wondery. The podcast covers the story of American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein over the course of several episodes. The podcast is hosted by Lindsay Graham.[1] The series premiered on 25 September 2019, having been greenlit only a month before, immediately after Epstein's death.[2][3][4] The podcast was listed 9th in Podtrac's 'Top 20 new podcasts for 2019'[5] and reached #1 on Apple Podcasts.[6]

Reception[edit]

The podcast was described in a review in The Guardian as 'faintly ludicrous', with the presenter 'hamming it up'.[7] However, Scotland's The National praised it for being 'more layered and engaging' than its competitors.[8] It received 4.5 stars and was listed as 'podcast of the week' by de Lagarde magazine.[9] NME listed the podcast in its ‘20 best new podcasts of 2019’, describing it as a ‘comprehensive backgrounder’.[10]
