The News Junkie

The News Junkie is a radio show in Orlando Florida that airs on Real Radio 104.1 FM. The show consists of its three main members, Deejay ShawnJay, SabbyCatCat, and Christopher Dolores Lane. The show started in its current form back in 2013. Prior to that, it merely existed as ShawnJay's 5 AM pipe dream. After what one can assume were extensive negotiations and heated discussions, the powers that be granted a not so young Shawn Wasson his very own midday show. Upon receiving this news, Shawn assembled his team of Sabrina and C-Lane and, with their powers combined, they managed to somehow put together an almost viable product.

Notable Bits:

Bong in Space: Longtime listeners of the show may recall this disastrous attempt to put a bong into space using a weather balloon. As expected, the bong crashed into an apartment building failed to launch. At least they tried.

Plane Banner Fiasco: In radio history, there are few bits that go viral. However, this is one of those. In true radio host fashion, Shawn purchased a plane banner that read "I had sex with Sabrina & it was just ok." This both confused and titillated Orlando residents as they looked to the skies to see something they've never seen before.

Guests:

Amy Kaufeldt: Amy Kaufeldt is an anchor from Fox 35 News in Orlando. Listeners of the show will recognize Amy as, probably, the nicest person to ever work in television news. She regularly appears on the show on Mondays and, to this day, remains the most patient guest they've ever had.

Moe DeWitt: Moses DeWitt is an attorney with the DeWitt Law Firm, who has recovered millions for his clients. As an advocate for the injured, he has fought insurance companies and large corporations to get his clients the compensation they deserve.
