The Progressive Empowerment Party is a new political party on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad & Tobago. The Party was formed in 2017, contesting the upcoming 2020 General Elections. Trinidad and Tobago has a total of five political parties contesting the 2020 elections.
The Progressive Empowerment Party has a 21-policy system in which they hope to utilize if elected into office.
The Party has a large following on Social Media and has garnered the support from "Trinbagonians" (Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago) across the globe.
Phillip Edward Alexander
The Party was formed in January 2017 and is led by the Political Leader of the party Mr. Phillip Edward Alexander. Phillip Edward Alexander ran as an Independent Candidate in 2015 Elections before forming the PEP (Progressive Empowerment Party).
In January 2018, in an interview with a morning edition show in Trinidad, he was questioned as to why he called the current Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago a (Bleep).[1]
In March 2020, Phillip Edward Alexander accused the current Government of Trinidad and Tobago of "politicking"[2] over the COVID-19 virus.
