The Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation (2017)
The Queen's Award for Enterprise are awarded for outstanding achievement by UK businesses.[1] In the category of Innovation the invention, design or goods must not have been sold before, been available on the market for at least 2 years, have recovered all the investments made (or show that the innovation will recover its full costs in future) and show outstanding commercial success as a result of innovation over 2 years (or continuous commercial success over 5 years).[2]
There were 57 winners in the Innovation category in 2017[3] and winners were announced on 21 April, by Queen Elizabeth II.[4] Notable recipients include:
