The Rundown

  • Comment: All three external sources clearly quote from precisely the same press release, near identical wording, so I think you need at least one more secondary source to show notability under WP:NTV. The Playback source has slightly more content, so that helps. Moreover, though it is not flagged as problematic, I suggest the article is reworded since that press release wording has nearly ended up in this draft (Template:Tq is only for quoting in talk and project pages. Do not use it in actual articles.). That's an easy fix luckily. ChrysGalley (talk) 15:46, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

The Rundown is a Canadian current affairs television program that premiered on TVO on October 20, 2025. Hosted by journalist Jeyan Jeganathan, the program covers social, political, cultural, and economic issues affecting the province of Ontario.[1]

Background

The Rundown was created to fill the timeslot of The Agenda with Steve Paikin, TVO's long-running flagship current affairs program, which ended after 19 seasons in June 2025.[1] TVO announced the change in April 2025, saying the new program would be produced by the team formerly behind The Agenda and would maintain similar editorial standards while adopting a faster-paced, more varied production style incorporating field segments and short-form video.[2][3]

Format

Each half-hour episode focuses on a single topic, using a mix of studio interviews, field segments, and explainer-style video to present a range of perspectives.[3]
