Biography[edit]
The Snakes started their musical career in 2004 with the first line-up named "Screaming Vibrators"[1] [2], they recorded the first EP in 2005 and played using this name until summer 2006[3], during these first years they had Andrea Rock[4] as a drummer (now frontman of Andead), Fax and Liz Delizious[5]. In the occasion of the first Meteors gig at Transilvania live[6] in Milan an idea came to P. Paul Fenech and The Snakes[7][8] minds, about recording some tracks at his own new studio Mad Dog Studios.[9] In 2008 the band recorded the first album Mondo Serpe[10][11] branded Mad Dog Records, released on 20 December 2008.
The Snakes in a short period started to let their name be well known to the European underground audience touring[12] and playing with bands such as The Meteors,[13][14][15][16][17] The Boys,[18] TV Smith, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, The Members, Demented Are Go[19], P. Paul Fenech Solo[20], Frenzy, Quakes, Long Tall Texans[21] and Caravans. In 2014 the band released the LP Magik & Poison,[22][23] branded The Meteors P. Paul Fenech's Mutant Rock Records.[24]
After a time of inactivity, in 2018 The Snakes started playing again alongside bands like The Boys[25] and The Meteors[26] in festivals like Stomping OTMAPP[27] with the following lineup: Andrea Cannella (Cinnamon) on drums, Giovanni Ferlita (Finezza) on electric bass, Marcelo Bertozzo on guitar and the founding vocalist Carlo.
