The Source: Origins is the debut novel of storyteller A.J. Witt, published by Spring Cedars in 2019. The novel is the first book in The Source, a series of new adult fantasy science fiction that takes place in a medieval futuristic world that struggles to maintain a balance of power, and follows an eclectic cast of characters amid parallel plots that eventually intersect.
Plot[edit]
In a post-apocalyptic dystopian world called the Dominion, there is an extraordinary power known as the Source. But only Adepts from the Academy are able to harness it, pitting them against both the Overseers at the Temple and the Nobles. With the onset of mysterious attacks in the outer villages and the death of a Council member, tensions rise between the factions, and the fragile peace is once again threatened.[1][2]
