The Trip Out is the seventh studio album by American electronic music act The Crystal Method, and is the second solo album by Scott Kirkland.[1]
Concept and packaging[edit]
Conceived in 2020 as a reaction to the lockdowns and isolation of the Covid19 pandemic, the album deals heavily with themes of escapism and freedom. The album was released on legacy vinyl and compact cassette as well as multiple streaming services.
Marketing and promotion[edit]
Watch Me Now was featured on American Song Contest with The Crystal Method representing their home state of Nevada in the competition. Promotional content for the album included the auction of several NFTs, granting exclusive tour perks and merchandise to NFT owners.[2]
