The Vagabond Queen (opera)
The Vagabond Queen: A musical tale in one act is an opera by Edward Barnes. Kate Peters and Barnes made a concert tour of Kansas, sponsored by the Kansas Arts Commission.[when?][citation needed] Kimi Okada directed and choreographed the piece, which runs about 20 minutes and may be performed with piano, violin and cello, or piano only. The production was repeated on tours of California State University campuses and for various opera conferences.[citation needed] In March 2009, the work was performed by Peters and Barnes at the grand opening of Cal State Fullerton's Clayes Performing Arts Center.[citation needed] Other productions were staged by Opera Pacific,[citation needed] Los Angeles Opera,[citation needed] University of Richmond,[citation needed] and Diamond Opera Theater,[1] among others.[citation needed]
