The Violin Guild

The Violin Guild (TVG) is an online forum for bowed-string artists. As of 2020, it comprises 37,000 members. All members are either violin-family instrument performers, makers, teachers, or students.[1]

Overview

TVG was founded in 2014 by violinist and composer, Dr. Immanuel T. Abraham, D.M.A. Administrative support came first from violinist Chloe Trevor, founder of the Chloe Trevor Music Academy. In 2015, the CEO of "Late Starter Musician", Jasmine Reese, became a TVG administrator.[2][3][4]

It has been featured by popular magazines and podcasts.[5][6]

TVG's members have included internationally-renowned artists: Janice Martin, Roman Kim, Rachel Barton Pine, Mark Wood, Aaron Dworkin, Laurie Niles, Peter Wispelwey, Gautier Capucon, Mimi Zweig, Nathan Cole, Lynn Harrell, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Alex DePue, Michael Cleveland, Charles Avsharian, Leila Josefowicz, Roby Lakatos.[7]
