The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language thriller film directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles.
The film is scheduled to be theatrically released on 25 September 2026.

Development
In November 2023, Ekta Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar announced a collaboration to develop three feature film projects under their respective banners Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF Motion Pictures.[1] In November 2024, the film titled Vvan – Force of the Forrest was officially announced with a motion poster shared by lead actor Sidharth Malhotra.[2] It was described as a folk thriller film rooted in Indian mythology and forest folklore.[3] The film is directed by Deepak Mishra, known for the series Panchayat, and co-directed by Arunabh Kumar and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar.
Casting
In April 2025, Tamannaah Bhatia was signed as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Sidharth Malhotra.[4] The makers also released a short promotional video featuring her in a mysterious avatar.[5] Maniesh Paul joined the cast in August 2025.[6] In October 2025, it was reported that Sunil Grover and Shweta Tiwari had joined the film in supporting roles.[7]
Filming
Principal photography commenced in June 2025,[8][9] and the first schedule was completed later that month.[10]
Release
Theatrical
Vvan – Force of the Forrest is scheduled for a theatrical release on 28 August 2026, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.[11] It was earlier planned to release on 15 May 2026[12] but was postponed.
Home media
Amazon Prime Video acquired the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of the film in March 2026.[13]
