The curse of the eighth decade is a Jewish mythology According to the Old Testament's Tanakh, the majority of the Israelites kingdom will be collapsed in 70 to 80 years.[1][2][3]

or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass, and we fly away
