The flea and the acrobat
The flea and the acrobat is the fifth episode of a TV show. Jim Hopper sneaks into the Hawkins lab and is undetected by any of the guards; he discovers that Jane Ives lived here before leaving, which makes him confused, as he was looking to find Will here. Lonnie Byers and Joyce Byers decide to celebrate Will Byer’s funeral coming up by having a drink with her. Hopper discovers that there was a picture of a dead cat on the wall, and he is horrified of the lab, he decides to leave the lab and go back home, where he knows that he can eat as many drugs as he pleases. In Mike Wheeler’s basement, the kids are discussing how they can save Will from the Demogorgon and Vecna, Eleven mentions how Will is upside down from where they are, and Mike realizes that Will must be right underneath them, as earlier, when they asked El where Will was, she flipped the board upside down. Jonathan Byers is delighted to see his father for the first time since they divorced but insisted that Lonnie return at a better time than Will’s funeral. Lonnie says that he was here to help just in case they needed it. Hopper wakes up in his trailer, and notices that he ate all his drugs and passed out. He feels kind of compromised here, and decides to look inside the light, and discovers a secret microphone that has been recording his every move. Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan decide that they’ve had enough, and planned to capture and kill Vecna, or whatever thing they could find that was from the dimension. During Will’s funeral, the kids ask Scott Clarke if he knows how they can enter the Vale of shadows and save Will, Scott explains how if they were an acrobat and a flea was with them, they couldn’t enter the Vale of shadows unless they followed the flea into the cracks, and that it would require a large amount of energy that is capable of stopping watches from working. Two police officers tell Hopper that Barb Holland’s car was discovered driving away, and that she must have ran away! Lonnie tells Joyce that he sued Mirkwood for causing Will’s death. Joyce sees how hungry Lonnie is and forces him out of the house. The kids notice their compasses are broken and try to find out why, and Eleven experiences a flashback from before, remembering how in the past, she took baths in front of male scientists, Lucas Sinclair starts swearing and cussing because of how annoying this was. Eleven doesn’t enjoy hearing Lucas swear and launches him away using her powers, killing Lucas instantly. El is afraid she is now a murderer and decides to run away. Nancy follows a Demogorgon as it enters a crack in the tree, and enters the Vale of shadows while searching with Jonathan. Jonathan is afraid that Vecna is going to attack him next.
