The state51 Conspiracy is an independent recorded music and media company founded by state51 and based in London.

History

state51 was an early innovator in digital music and the internet and developed the groundbreaking music website The Raft for Virgin Records in the mid 90s, then went on to co-found the digital supply chain business Consolidated Independent (CI) and found The state51 Conspiracy.[1] In 2018, the group of companies was restructured under a single board as The state51 Music Group,[2] with offices in Vilnius, Budapest, Da Nang and New York.[3]

The state51 Conspiracy was originally described by its founder Paul Sanders as "a collection of like-minded businesses and partners hooked into the state51 network".[4] It has since grown into "a risk-taking and innovative recorded music company with a global reach"[5] and works with established artists including Donovan, Wire, Tom Robinson, Japan's Steve Jansen and Guillemots as well as a roster of emerging artists and a significant distribution catalogue.[6]

The state51 Conspiracy's work in product design has been recognised for its excellence by the creative, design and advertising communities. Its 'WAVE Box' was shortlisted by D&AD[7] and Creative Review.[8]
